Oh Rare, how I love you!

I absolutely love rarefashion.co.uk, and the only thing that stops me buying all their clothes is that they're usually a little bit out of my price range. Enter, the RARE SALE! Oh dear. Before I knew it, I'd spent £100. AND I didn't even find anything for Luke's sister's wedding!!

Nevermind, here are a few of the things I did buy:

I'm quite excited about my purchases, even though I was devastated when Rare sent me a 20% off voucher TODAY. It has to be used before Sunday and there's no way I can afford another purchase before then. Dammit. Why does that always happen to me? I would have felt far less guilty about buying had I save £20.00!

Nevermind, what have you all been buying lately?

Wedding Attire? Your assistance please!!

Bloody Weddings!

I've just realised that Luke's sister's wedding is in two weeks and I STILL don't have a dress sorted. For someone who adores fashion and vintage I cannot find ANYTHING I like. Granted, I haven't been 'out on the street' active searching for anything, but, as usual, I've done my fair share of internet trawling. Everything I've found that I've really really liked are either out-of-stock, not in my size or completely unsuitable for a wedding! Point and evidence...:

I LOOOVE this Topshop dress... but of course, out-of-stock.

Gorgeous, but probably too short for a wedding!!
I love this - but even I wouldn't wear black to a wedding!!

Help please! All the above issues aside, you still have to contend with the fact that I'm only 5"3 and a UK size 6 - I'm like child-size! haha. I had originally intended to treat myself to a ModCloth dress (swoon!) But I think I've left it a little late for shipping et all. So now it's up to YOU! :-p Let your challenge begin.... ;-)

"Dancer in Paris" Charm necklace, now for sale!

I've been feeling a little under the weather this week, and there's so much to get done at work that I'm completely exhausted. Countdown to Friday!

OK, now for the hard-sell! :)

I've just put another of my necklaces up for sale on Ebay. This time I'm selling my favourite of the whole collection; "Dancer in Paris". This beautiful vintage charm necklace can be yours for just £6.99

Click here to visit my ebay page and buy this beautiful handmade necklace, completely unique to Little Rachael Vintage, you wont find this design anywhere else!

I should probably say at this point that I will also make necklaces on request ! Designs I have previously made I will re-create at the original price. If you would like something a little more specific, and I am able to source and find the right charms with which to make it, then I'm happy to do this for you! This is an offer exclusive to followers of this blog and at a great price of £10 per necklace plus P&P. Please email requests to rlgrice@googlemail.com

Ugh, enough of the business talk, how are you all today?! A least the sun is starting to shine again, though I don't appreciate being stuck in a stuffy office all day while it does! ^_^

Happy Shopping my loves! :-)

Little Rachael Jewellery - Pendants On Sale Now!

So.. FINALLY we have Little Rachael Jewellery on sale!! I know I've been planning on doing this for a while, but believe me, these beautiful necklaces are well worth the wait!! I'm having a hard time parting with them if I'm honest. :-) Eventually, I'll be opening an Etsy shop. For now, though, my first two vintage-inspired necklaces are for sale on Ebay.

The two came pendants - "Rose Cameo" and "Pearl Lady" are the most expensive of my range, but still great value for money at £8.00 each. Posting and packaging is relatively cheap too, so snap these up while you can! I'll be listing more, cheaper items as the week goes on.

Buy-it-Now: £8.00

Buy-it-now: £8.00

Both pendants come on a 24" gold plated small-link chain.

Go support me - buy a necklace! haha ^_^.
Seriously though, I'm actually quite nervous about putting my items on sale for the first time. I really hope people love them as much as I do!

Happy Shopping ;)

Holidays, Jewellery and BNTM!

There's one week left of work until my holiday period starts!! I cannot wait - I'm especially excited about being able to spend much more time blogging and FINALLY getting the Little Rachael Vintage collection up and selling! On the latter note.... keep your eyes peeled for another post this afternoon! (Hopefully!)....

In the mean time, I thought I'd take five minutes to comment on the latest series of Britain's Next Top Model. As most of you know, I am completely addicted to both the Top Model franchise as well as both Project Runway and Project Catwalk. I was expecting big things from the new series of BNTM, especially as they've replaced Lisa Snowdon (who i only ever remember as "George Clooney's ex" and "the woman did those Special K adverts in the 90's" !!) with the world-famous Australian Elle Macpherson. I've got to say I've been a little disappointed so far, and no-one's stood out for me yet. I think one of my main annoyances is the addition of the immensely irritating Julian Macdonald on the judging panel. Anyone else remember his digs at the "larger lady" designer on Project Catwalk series 2? Not only do I find his designs a bit naff, but he needs to learn that showing a little humility is not a weakness! I can't stand that man.

Lianna Fowler, the winner of Series 2, is still my all-time favourite contestant - followed closely by last year's Jade Mcsorley (she was lovely - I still think she should have won... Mecia who?) The two BNTM alumni have actually just appeared in a new Swatch campaign together!

I absolutely love Lianna's slightly-gawky androgynous beauty. I think she's absolutely stunning, and from her time on the show she came across as a humble, down-to-earth girl who was completely unaware of her own beauty. I'm a sucker for that!! :p

Here are some beautiful shots from both Lianna's website and her Models 1 portfolio:

I love that last photo - god knows how she managed to balance while doing that!!

Much love - Check back later for the jewellery post! (Come on - I need a little encouragement to get it done! ^_^  )

Little Rachael Photo Post!

Yesterday wasn't exactly the heat wave we had been lead to believe... well actually, it WAS hot, just not very sunny. The sky was overcast and the air was muggy. Nevertheless, Luke and I eventually kicked our bums into gear and went to the Earl Of Strafford for lunch. On the way home we stopped at Thrybergh County Park (basically a big reservoir with a path around it, a dozen ducks and swans and a playground! :-p)

You may remember the dress from this post, where I blogged about buying it! It's ever so slightly big on me but I still love it!

Vintage Accessories - on Ebay!

All true vintage lovers know that accessories and shoes are the keys to any vintage or vintage-inspired attire. Accessories and jewellery are actually my main passion when it comes to all things past! I love trawling charity shops to find a gorgeous vintage bag at a bargain price! Failing that, my next stop is ALWAYS Ebay as, if you search around enough, there's always a bargain to be found!

Yesterday evening I was home alone and Ebay managed to grasp me between it's claws once more.
This is one of the vintage bags that i couldn't talk myself out of buying:

So, this weekend there's supposedly going to be a bit of a heat wave!! This could, potentially, lead to the best day of the year so far - walking through the Dams in the sunshine taking photos and then off to the cinema in the evening! There's so many films i need to see! I'm not getting to watch Eclipse until Wednesday though (Luke refuses to watch it with me), the suspense s killing me!

Happy shopping my fellow vintage lovers,

Little Rachael xxxx
